This Workshop will explore garments as memory keepers, encapsulating and documenting the practices of our lives. We will begin with discussion around ritual, and how it manifests for participants in religion, self-care, relationships, the natural world, or any other place. This conceptual grounding would then evolve into conversation around what it looks like to make a ritual object, culminating in learning techniques I use in my practice. I will instruct participants on sewing with tulle as well as how to create pockets for newly “holy” objects to live within.
