From painterly color washes to sharp graphic lines, from 3D objects to delicate lacey textiles, felt can do it all. This course is a comprehensive introduction to contemporary felting practices. A variety of felting techniques will be introduced, including needle, wet, Jelly roll, and nuno. Experimentation will be emphasized over final product, and creative risk taking will be encouraged. With the variety of effects that can be achieved through felt making, this course will be great for painters, sculptors and designers. No prior felting experience necessary - this workshop is beginner friendly with opportunities to explore more advanced techniques.
